So great to see some of my handmade cards in print!
Pas seulement mes créations en papier sont imprimées mais aussi quelques de mes photos sont tournées en cadeaux.
Not only my paper creations were printed but also some of my photographs were turned into presents.

Le club équestre fête Noël avec un Concours de Saut d'Obstacles, le CSO ou bien le jumping. Puisque je suis incapable de sauter à cheval comme Nico, je lui laisse bien l'honneur. Ils gagnent deux circuits!! Les photos sont prise pendant leur échauffement.
The equestrian club is in the Christmas spirit with a jumping competition of club members. As I'm not capable of horsejumping like Nico, I leave it well to him to show off my lovely Henna. They win two courses out of four. I only made photos of their warming up.
C'est du saison: fabriquer des couronnes. C'est année je n'ai pas fait la couronne de l'avent avec ses bougies mais une pour déguster en entrée d'un bon repas entre amis.
It's the season for making wreaths. This year I didn't make one with branches or candles but one to savour as a starter of a good meal shared with friends.
Suivez moi avec cette recette que j'ai trouvé dans un magazine (N.B. télé-loisir). Je commence avec une pâte feuilletée que je pose sur la plaque du four. Au milieu je place un bol pour trouver un cercle au milieu. Je le coupe en huit parts.
I kept it very simple with this recipy I found in a magazine for tv programmes. I start with a puff pastry which I roll out on an oven plate. In the middle I place a bowl to find the circle which I cut in eight parts.
Comme vous voyez je place tous les ingrédients sur le bord: premièrement je tartine le bord avec de la moutarde et par dessus je mets 100 gr de pancetta, deux ou trois poires en fine tranches, et 120 gr de fromage. La recette propose un fromage bleu: de Fourme d'Ambert, mais j'imagine un bleu de Sassenage ira très bien aussi. J'e l'ai fait une fois avec du fromage de chèvre et c'était délicieux. Ensuite je mets des noix de Grenoble et du poivre noir.
As you can see on the photo I put all the ingredients on the border, starting with some mustard spread over it. That's followed by 100 grams of pancetta (an Italian type of bacon very thinly sliced) two or three pears in thin slices, 120 grams of blue cheese, walnuts and black pepper. The blue cheese is "fourme d'Ambert", but I guess you can use "bleu de Sassenage" as well as any other blue cheese which is not too strong. I also used goat cheese once and that was a very tasty variation.
Cette photo le montre déjà au four mais juste avant que je l'ai mis dans le four j'ai replié les triangles sur les ingrédients et j'ai badigeonné un peu d'œuf battu par dessus. Et hop dans le four à 200° pour 25 minutes. Bon appétit!
This photo shows it's in the oven already but just before you do that fold back the flaps over the ingredients. It doesn't cover them really well but it doesn't matter for the result. I also spread some beaten egg over the pastry. Into the oven, 200° for 25 minutes..... enjoy this starter or serve with an aperitif.

I'm right up to my ears into creating Christmas cards and stars will be one of my themes. I won't show you all the finished cards before they have arrived at their destination but my sneak peek will certainly be inspiring. While creating make sure that you put on some fine music like an album by Melodie Gardot with her "If the stars were mine".

I know it's only a sneak peek but it may amuse you to see the way I paint my stars and birds with my watercolours and a little gold acrylic ink. Alisa Burke at least painted a tree for the birds while she listened to melodie Gardot.... see link to vimeo here above.

Une fois que le sapin porte ses lumières je sens que noël n'est pas loin. Maintenant les cartes.... J'ai sorti tous mes 'scraps' de gelli plate et je met mets au collage....enfin, je pense....mais je peux encore changer l'idée....
Once all the little lights are in the Christmas tree I start to feel is nearly Christmas....now the cards..... I got out all my gelli print scraps and start cutting and collaging.... it's my idea for this Christmas, but I've got so many ideas that I may change directions.....
Des cartes de vœux sont envoyées ..... j'espère elles sont toutes arrivées, mais le temps tourne....j'en ai fait 50 et encore dix à finir et ensuite je veux faire autre chose...... toutes les cartes sont différentes, même si certains éléments se répètent.

New year's wishes sent....I made about 50 cards, ten to go.... all are different even if sometimes there are repeating elements.

Père Noël est déjà retourné au grand nord. Le temps passe trop vite et comme chaque année je n'arrive pas à envoyer des cartes de Noël.
Santa has returned to north pole. Time whizzes past; too fast for me to send Christmas cards.
J'ai un peu plus de temps pour les cartes de vœux heureusement. Je peins, je colle , je coupe, je tamponne, je fabrique....comme des pochoirs et des tampons .....
But what great joy I have to be making cards with good whishes for the new year!! I'm painting, cutting, punching, glueing, stamping, making stencils and stamps.......
J' ai tamponné une tonne d'images, coupé autour, je les ai adapté à mettre en scène, pour raconter une histoire....
I have been stamping away, then cutting out and customizing them to put them in a scene, to tell a story....
J'ai réduit le stock de gelli prints et je les ai utiliser dans des cartes de vœux.
I used quite some prints I made before and turned them into cards.
Le dernier pas est toujours de décorer les enveloppes et écrire les adresses..... 40 sont faites et parties ....encore dix pour finir.... j'en fais moins chaque année comme je reçois moins de cartes fait main.....mais j'abandonne pas cette tradition!
The last step is always to decorate the envelope and write the adresses.... 40 done, about ten to go....less each year and I receive less cards each year, but I still hold on to this tradition!
Quelle plaisir d'aller se promener et ramener un peu de mousse qu'on trouve en abondance dans la forêt. Caché derrière un buisson j'ai trouvé quelques mousmonstres qui étaient ravis de rentrer avec moi à la maison. Ils font peut être peur mais ils ont le cœur sur la bonne place.
What fun to go for a walk and bring home some moss to make Christmas decorations! Hidden behind some bushes I found some mossmonsters who were delighted when I proposed a little staying over for the holidays! They may scare you a little but really, they have the heart in the right place!
Peu de mousse va loin et j'ai pu faire d'autres décorations. Celui dessous à peut être besoin plus de couleur......
Little moss goes a long way and I had enough to make more decorations. The following one might need some more colour, now I see its picture here.
Et ne pas oublier le petit "tingeltangel" qui date de très longtemps. Chauffé par les bougies le caroussel tourne et les anges sonnent les cloches "...tingeltangel...tingeltangel....tingeltangel...
And not to forget the "tingeltangel" a little childhood souvenir. Heated by the candles the merry-go-round makes the angles chime the bells "...tingeltangel...tingeltangel....tingeltangel...
