I gathered around what I have on hand. This week's inspiration in the online workshop 'Wanderlust' is all about flowers......
It started a month ago when I went round my garden picking some flowers and leaves here and there. I chose the rather small ones as it is easier to dry them in an old book. Of course I left the wild orchids where they were.
Voilà le résultat des fleurs séchées.
This was the result of the dried flowers.
I played a little with the different elements before gluing or sewing them in my journal.
I needed a card, so I first created one yesterday evening. The photo was taken by lamp light and so doesn't represent the real card very much.
This is the result in my journal. I was really inspired by Kasia Avery's tutorial, but in the end I followed my own path. I didn't use an old postcard, nor did I make a transfer, and I didn't have the materials to do the faux encaustic. Nevertheless I reached my goal because I had fun and I made something pleasant to look at. Not much place left for journaling though.
Quelques gros plans.
Some close ups. Perhaps it is now my turn to inpire you?
