Pour "the documented life project" on utilise des papiers transparants ce mois d'octobre. Je ne sais pas tout à fait ce qu'est 'deli paper' mais je pense le papier cuisson fait l'affaire. Je n'ai pas mal de ce papier qui protège souvent ma table et reçoit tellement de couleur que je peux l'utiliser directement.

Journal Prompt:

You Had Me At Hello

The documented life project challenges us to use some deli paper in our journals. Not quite sure what kind of paper that is, I made do with what I found. I have quite a stack of these underpapers already with enough colour on them. I don't find them very transparent though, but they work wonderfully in a journal as they don't add too much bulk.

Je n'était pas sûre ce que voulait dire ce 'prompt' donc j'ai écris un mail pour demander Lori de m'expliquer la citation. Elle m'a répondu rapidement avec un lien à un film:" Jerry Maguire" que je ne connaissais pas.

I wasn't sure about the prompt....what it really meant, so I wrote to Lori Vliegen to ask her about it. Lori is an artist (http://elviestudio.blogspot.fr/ ) who lives in Florida with her dutch husband. Ever so kindly she directed me to a you-tube film to have the quote explained.

Pour ma page j'avais envie de réutiliser une image avec laquelle j'ai fait un collage pour le cours en ligne "text and collage" de Jane Davies.

For my take on the challenge I wanted to use a picture I had already used in an online cours with Jane Davies....it's fun to use it in a different setting.

Je suis amoureuse de Paris et quelle chance que ma fille habite maintenant dans ce merveilleuse ville....Jour et nuit; il y a toujours quoi faire et voir....

That's the effect Paris has on me: I put one step in this wonderful city and I'm instantly overtaken by its beauty and energy, whether it be by day or by night.

Vue techniques: Papier de cuisson à gauche en haut de la page et sur la page à droite en dessous l'image. A gauche j'ai embossé un tampon avec de l'encre blanc.,....en dessous l'image un mouchoir sur lequel j'avais nettoyé un pochoir,..... sur la page à droite j'ai travaillé l'image avec de la laine de fer par dessus un pochoir.

Techniques I used are: on the left top and on the right hand page at the bottom I used this translucent paper. I stamped top left and used embossing powder to stabilize the ink. I used a paper hanky on which I had cleaned a stencil....on the page on the right I made the pattern by using steel wool with a stencil under the magazine picture.
