Mon arbre - under the willow tree

Thème de la semaine pour Wanderlust, un atelier en ligne, était "arbres". J'ai fait mes pages à partir d'une photo que j'ai pris d'un saule pleureur.

Wanderlust's theme this week was "trees". I created my pages starting with a photo I took of a weeping willow.

J'ai commencé ainsi. Je n'était pas du tout à l'aise avec les pas à pas de Kasia mais finalement la page se construisait petit à petit.

I wasn't sure with the instructions at first but little by little, following up Kasia's steps, the pages pulled together.

C'est marrant de découvrir combien de chansons ont été écrites avec le sujet "arbre". J'ai accumulé une petite collection pour vous.... bonne écoute:

It's fun to discover that many singers have been inspired either by the weeping willow or by any tree at all. I collecting some links for you to listen to their songs.

Après les couleurs j'ai appliqué des lignes avec le fusain ce qui est justement une branche de saule!

After the colours I applied lines with a charcoal pencil. Charcoal actually comes from willow branches!

En touche finale j'ai ajouté un peu de mes pensées et un texte trouvé dans un magazine. La dernière image est le saule pleureur dans son parc pas loin de ma maison.

To finish the pages I added some journaling and a found text. The last picture shows the weeping willow in its surroundings, in a nearby park.
