Un jour pour moi... Je mettais le cap sur Beaurepaire aujourd'hui à une heure de route de chez moi dans le nord Isère. Il y avait le festival du carnet de voyage!

A day for me: I set course for Beaurepaire today which is an hours drive from here. There was this festival to highlight the travel journal!

J'ai commencé au bureau de tourisme où il y avait une exposition de sculptures et tableaux par Emmanuel Michel, un artiste du coin.

I started at the tourist office where there was an exposition of sculptures and paintings by Emmanuel Michel, a local artist.

Des croquis aux livres qu'il a publié sont tous preuve d'un énorme talent!

From sketches to published books, everything shows an overall talent for the fine arts.

Le meilleur moment de la journée était que j'ai fait enfin connaissance avec une amie virtuelle de Facebook!

The best moment of the day was that I came into contact with a Facebook friend .... so much better in to see each other in real situations!!

J'ai aussi parlé aux artistes qui étaient tous très ouverts et enthousiastes pour partager leur passion. Avec plusieurs personnes j'ai échangé des Artist Trading Cards. Isabelle Paget-Agnès avait mon coup de cœur parmi eux. J'ai admiré ses carnets accordéon et qui sait qu'un jour je serai capable de suivre un cours chez elle.....

Il y avait aussi une carnettiste, Ludivine Alligier, qui habite plus près de moi, à Lyon, qui offre des cours très intéressants...Je vous laisse un lien à son site internet:

I talked to many of the artists who were all so enthusiastic and open-minded and loved to share their passion with the visitors. With some of them we exchanged artist tradingcards. Isabelle Paget-Agnès was my favourite. I just loved her concertina sketchbooks and who knows I will follow a workshop with her one day..... or with yet another artist who teaches not very far from where I live. (see link to her website)
