Nous avons préparé plusieurs couples pour leur mariage réligieux

We helped some couple to prepare for their mariage in church.

A la dernière rencontre une bougie est offerte. J'aime les décorer. J'en ai fait dans le passé avec du tyvvek, la technique de la serviettage, avec de l'encre alcool et le scotch aluminium, avec un tampon, de l'encre stazon et de la pâte à modeler, avec du raphia, ou encore avec le cuttlebug. On the last of the four evenings a candle is given as a souvenir. I like to decorate them. In the meantime a nice collection of candles and how to decorate them has been created. I give you the links to the candles I made in the past: once with tyvvek, then with napkin collage, another set with alcohol inks and alluminium tape, and don't skip the set I did with a stamp and stazon ink to which I added a decorative element made of paper clay, and also once with raffia, or with the cuttlebug. Ces bougies avaient de la chance: ce printemps avec des journées de bourrasques voulaient que plusieurs plumes tourbillonnaient jusqu'aux bougies où je les ai sécurisé vite avec de la peinture perlé. J'ai suivi une ancienne tradition anglaise qui dit: "quelque chose de neuf, quelque chose de veux, quelque chose en or, quelque chose de bleu. Oui, je sais que je ne devrais pas dire "en or" mais "emprunté", mais ma version allait mieux dans le projet. J'ai ajouté une bordure dorée autour des petits cercles qui rappellent les cartes d'identités:

These candles had the luck that this spring we had some blustery weather. Feathers came whirling in the wind and settled on the candles. I secured them with some pearly paint. I followed an old English tradition that says: "something old, something new, something gold, something blue". I know: it should be "borrowed" and not "gold" but it fitted better in the project to add a golden trim round the circles that reminded their nametags:
