Emue, j'étais d'avoir reçu ce cadeau..... un drapeau de prières...

I was so overwhelmed to have received this present..... a prayerflag.....

Dans le vent..... je confie ce drapeau au vent.....avec les intentions de la créatrice....avec les prières pour moi.....pour chaque personne comme moi.....

In the wind it is now blowing.....I leave it to the wind to take with it all the intentions that the seamstress stitched into it.....all the prayers I entrust to it ...prayers for me and for anyone suffering too....

C'était cousu si merveilleusement de face et de dos.

Chaque élément est symbole pour une facette de ma vie. Anne, la créatrice me connait bien sans m'avoir rencontré en physique; ça fait ce drapeau encore plus précieux. Elle explique bien sur son blog ce que veulent dire le bouton, l'ange, les empreintes faites avec le gelli plate, l'arbre (tournesol) au milieu, la couleur verte, un breloque, une image d'un cheval, un bijoux mauve forme coeur, la tulipe au dos du drapeau, les différents tissus tissés ensemble; même le fait que les bords ne sont pas droits a son signification; rien n'est cousu au hasard! Every detail has something to tell; every element is a symbol for a part of my life. It makes this prayerflag even more precious knowing that Anne and I never had the chance to meet face to face. The flag has been weaved together of various fabrics, the colour green dominating; green for hope.... I felt honoured she used a gelli plate print of a sunflower I sent her, right in the middle which is now the tree of life. Did you notice a small charm: hands in prayer, or a gem, colour violet for spirituality, a heart, an angel for protection, a flashy button referring to my journal and the colours I love to use. On the back of the flag she used a fabric with a tulip design to link it to my country. Even the sides of the flag which aren't straight has a meaning: life isnt' straight forward and often our roads turn ans twist in an unexpected way.

Le drapeau arrivait avec une carte cousue de différentes tissus tissés ensemble, symbolique pour notre amitié qui se tisse de plus en plus.

The flag came with a card: strips of fabrics woven together, two stones; for the burden we have to carry. Friendship is certainly woven this way!
