première étape - first step

C'est le premier dimanche de l'avent...bientôt Noël...

Je commence la couronne de l'avent. Chaque semaine j'ajouterai quelque chose. Peut être je changerai les feuilles de lière si elle ne tiennent pas la forme. J'ai utilisé de la lière car cette plante symbolize de l'amitié, fidélité et de la tendresse.

A l'église on commence l'installation de la crêche.

It's the first advent Sunday..... Christmas is coming!

I started a wreath with the four candles representing the four weeks towards Christmas. I twisted ivy vines around a base wreath I made some time ago. I don't know whether the ivy will hold out the four weeks but ivy is so beautiful in wreaths. This plant symbolizes friendship and toleration for our differences, fidelity and affection.

In our church we, a small team, started to build the nativity scene. Not simple as security measures rule out the use of paper or any other material that might burn easily.

Depuis quelques rénovations dans l'église nous ne pouvons plus faire ce que nous voulons. Plus de papier ou de la paille ou autre matière non conforme les règles de sécurité..... Nous, une petite équipe, fabriquons la base avec les moyens de bord dans un coin de la vieille chapelle au fond de l'église......Ca changera un peu sans doute....

J'aurais tant voulu une crêche comme à Paris ou à Lyon:

So we just started the installation with what we had at hand, in a corner of the old chapel at the back of the church .....there will be adjustments later on and the statues will be placed later this week.

Wouldn't it be great to be able to have a nativity scene as the one in Paris or Lyon?:

Mais le principale est fait: nous sommes en route!

But the main thing is: we're on our way!
