This project was finished but a clasp to close the straps around my waist. I knew I had such a clasp lying somewhere in the house. Only today I had the idea to go looking for it and found it, of course..... (people who know me must think this is extraordinary because I'm quite messy, but I always say that I just have such a treasure of things and I usually know where everything is....proof isn't it?).

The project followed an idea by Melanie Testa. I had to make do with some video clips and I filled in the missing information myself. In April we had some fine days and I started sewing en embroidering the sandwiches of fabrics in the garden.
This is now a little pouch, or bag, to hold sewing supplies. You carry it in front of you and it closes like a pillow case. Look how I carry it around:

Time to start a new slow project. I love these kinds of slow project to turn me 'zen'.
This time I stencilled some pictures on hand dyed fabric; I think I used plants or rusty things at that time. I think I'm going to embroider over the patterns ..... or not, just leave them or paint them in.... I may even cut the piece up and start a patchwork project ....at this point anything can happen and I really don't know where I'm going with this project; I'll see it when I get there.... I love this idea of following ideas on a whim. If I get stuck I can always have a look at what Jane is doing or Jude Hill or Melanie and then I have Pinterest boards with more ideas I can handle in a life time.
The pouch is the perfect size: big enough to hold my 'sew-plies' and small enough to carry it with me to embroider on the go .... or in the garden .... if the sun wants to come out.
